Magnus Arnesen was born in 1981 in Oslo, Norway. After finishing a degree in graphic design he began studying film at the Nordland Art and Film School in northern Norway in 2002. There he directed a couple of short films, which made it possible to apply for higher studies in directing.In 2003 he got excepted to the Polish National Film, Television and Theater School (PWSFTViT) in Lodz, where he is currently attending his last year of MA studies at the film directing department.There he has directed several short films, such as:Orfeusz, Four Proposals, The Hunting Season, Lost and Found, Ballard's Land and his latest diploma film, Sing Me To Sleep.
